Hermitage Missouri is located a few miles north of Pomme de Terre lake. It is a small pleasant town located in the rolling Ozark hills of Southwest Missouri on the bank of the Pomme de Terre River. At Annual Ozark Market day, Hermitage town square is transformed into in old time market place with hundreds of booths. Crafters from around the Ozarks bring their works to display and sell. So come early, sit a spell, catch up on the news as a bluegrass band plays toe tapping music and enjoy the warm smiles of friendly people. Hermitage boasts an 1896 courthouse which is still in use, an antebellum home which houses the Historical Society and an antique store housed in an 1885 building.
